Power 3GP/iPod/PSP Video Converter

Power 3GP/iPod/PSP Video Converter

Power 3GP/iPod/PSP Video Converter is an application with a pretty suggestive name - it allows you to encode video clips to multiple formats, including 3GP, MP4 and AVI. It can be used by individuals of any experience level.

The interface of the program is clean and pretty intuitive. Video clips can be imported into the list via the file browser only, since the "drag and drop" method is unsupported. Batch processing is allowed.

In the queue you can read the name, format, play time and size of each file. So, once you set the output directory and profile, you can proceed with the encoding job.

Furthermore, you can select the thread priority and set a post-task action (e.g. shutdown or log off computer), enable Power 3GP/iPod/PSP Video Converter to use DirectShow, as well as remove an item from the list or clear the entire queue.

The video encoding software runs on a low-to-moderate amount of system resources, supports several languages for the interface, has a good response time, quickly finishes a task and didn't freeze, crash or pop up errors during our tests. The image and sound quality is preserved at a fair level (although it could had been better).

There's also a well-written help file with snapshots that you can check out. On the other hand, you cannot change audio and video settings (e.g. bit rate, aspect ratio, channel mode). We recommend Power 3GP/iPod/PSP Video Converter with reservations.
